Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic Revealed
The South Korean manufacturer presented the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic models during the launch event. The standard models are available in 40mm and 44mm options, while the Classic version features a rotating bezel and comes in 43mm and 47mm options.
Starting with the standard model, Samsung claims that the new smartwatch offers a larger screen with slimmer bezels. The 40mm version of the new model comes with a 33.3mm screen diameter, while the 44mm version features a 37.3mm screen. The battery capacities for the watches were announced as 300 mAh for the smaller version and 425 mAh for the larger one.
The weight of the smaller version was announced as 28.7 grams, and the 44mm version is calculated to be 33.3 grams. Both versions of the Galaxy Watch 6 come in two different color options. The 40mm version is available in Gold and Graphite, while the 44mm version offers Black and Grey options.
Samsung also revealed the prices of the new smartwatch models during the event. The 44mm Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is available for sale starting at $300, and the 40mm version has a price tag of $330.
As for the Classic version with a rotating bezel, it comes with the same screen sizes. However, the models vary in design and are slightly heavier, with 52 grams and 59 grams for the two options. The battery sizes for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic models remain the same. Both versions of the Watch 6 Classic will be available in Grey and Black color options.
Samsung also shared the price tags for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. The 43mm Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is available for pre-order at $400, and the pre-order price for the 47mm version is announced as $430 .
